Chiropractor Greeley:  Meet Dr. Foster

Chiropractic has been part of my life since I was 13 years old... 

  My sister needed glasses or at least my mom thought she did.  Mom took her to Dr. Zick, a local optometrist, who made an unusual request.  He wanted her to take my sister to a chiropractor for a few weeks, then bring her back for glasses if it was still necessary.

  I don't remember if she ever got glasses, but once my mom found out about chiropractic, she had the whole family getting monthly adjustments. It was never about back pain, it was about staying healthy.

  I had just been through spine surgery at Fitzimmon's Army Hospital in Aurora. Instead of taking a biopsy as planned, the surgeons chose to remove a small tumor within my spinal column--thinking it looked cancerous.  It wasn't, and the damage to the spinal cord during it's removal left my left partially paralyzed.

  Chiropractic helped me recover from the surgery.  When it came time to pursue a career, I chose chiropractic.

  I graduated from Greeley Central, completed my under- graduate studies at UNC, and left for Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia.  I finished a year early by attending summer quarters, graduating in 1982 at the age of 24.

Started Practice in 1983
I opened my practice the following June, in a basement office at 2540 11th Avenue.  My third year in practice I bought the building and moved upstairs to a larger space.

Three new children in 1987 and Quadruplets in 1993
  In 1987, I married Cathy, and from that point on, my practice and family have both grown steadily. To begin, I adopted Cathy's three young children. Then in 1993, we were blessed with quadruplets... 

who are now 18!

   I moved my chiropractic practice to west Greeley in 1995, when Westlake Center was built, and that's where we are today.

  Life is a wonderful adventure, and seeing people of all ages with different levels of health, I know first hand how essential good health is to the enjoyment  of life.  It's very rewarding to be able to help people achieve that.
